First of all, the suites debuted on the route from London every other day until towards the start of September when a second aircraft was completed. While upgrading business class into more of a first class design is the latest trend, ANA also pumped some serious upgrades into their first class cabin as well. ANA says that THE Room has twice the width of their old business class seat (click for Anika’s flight review) which is not hard to believe. Of course, this is business class and the trade-off is that it does taper into a cubby hole where your feet end up. THE Room looks like it is twice as wide – more sofa-like than a seat! The changes continue in the rear cabin. Continuing the trend of upgraded premium cabins, ANA unveiled their new deigns for their Boeing 777-300 retrofits this week. As part of my Hong Kong status run, I returned home via Tokyo on ANA in business class. Booking. So far, three routes have benefited from ANA’s new and improved cabin.
